I'm working on the final layer of trees before I start painting in the people. Once I've finished the trees, I'll do a light glaze of blue paint that will give it a misty almost nighttime feel. The left of the painting will be almost completely blackened out in an attempt to give a feel of total darkness that Harriet Tubman is leading them into - the unknown. Each tree has to be painted twice, once to block in the image, and then when it dries, another darker layer to cover up any background that might be showing through. It's a lengthy process, but well worth the effect I'm going for. This final layer of background trees should be finished by this weekend. Sorry for the glare - can't do anything about that.

Harriet Tubman - Work in Progress
So I have one more layer of trees but I needed to put in the placement of where everyone was going to be. I'm going to spread them out slightly and make everyone just a little taller, but not too tall. Harriet Tubman was fairly short, only 5 feet tall, but my focus is not mainly on the individuals, but the fear of them walking into the unknown darkness.

Harriet Tubman - Work In Progress
Before laying down the paint for the second layer, I've ground up some of the dirt and small twigs from Harriet Tubman's childhood home. I've never used objects in my paintings, but this one is different.

Harriet Tubman - Work In Progress
More on the Harriet Tubman painting. This is the 2nd of 3 layers of trees. I have to go over them a 2nd time before starting the 3rd layer. After that, I'll begin the outline of Harriet Tubman and her party.

Book Cover Designs
I have 3 separate covers for my first short story 'The Mandela Effect' and I'm putting it up for a vote across all the platforms I manage. Which of these 3 is the most effective and why?

Harriet Tubman - Work in Progress
Just finished the first of 3 layers of trees of the Harriet Tubman painting. The Pop Art series took a lot out of me - it was late nights and early mornings with that. So, I'm back to Harriet and some other commissions.

Prince
I didn't realize the final pic of Prince came out kind of blurred, so I'll repost it when the art show is over.

Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn Oil Pop Art Timelapse and progress pics Inspired by Janine Hoffman's piece. While I did change up some of the colors, it was her original concept and I feel I should give credit to the master herself. You can view her work https://www.janinehoffmanart.com
She is a phenomenal illustrator and artist and the moment I saw her version of Audrey, I knew I had to replicate it. She's given me permission to do so, and I can't thank her enough.
