This one was rough to do because I was going off a cell phone pic. Cell phone pics may look good on your cell phone, but when printed out, the resolution is generally very low. However, he liked it, his wife was thrilled, and that's all that mattered. The painting is in oil and is 22"x24"

Oil Portrait Commission - Work In Progress
Putting in the lights and darks in Burnt Umber & White. I'm not concerned about the background at this moment, because when I was painting it, I really didn't know what the background was going to look like. In the only reference photo I had, she was sitting in front of a white background.

Oil Portrait Commission
Very very beginning stages of an oil portrait. This one was rare. All I had was a pic from her grandfather's phone. Anyone who knows about phone pics, the quality may look good on your phone, but they rarely have the same detail as a DSLR. So in the end, I ended up guessing some of the details on her face.

PleinAir Painting at the clocktower
I decided to head to the Clocktower Train Station in Richmond and see what I could do in 30 minutes. Just as I was finishing up, this nice lady asked me if my painting was for sale. Though a bit nippy, it was a gorgeous day and I'm glad I seized the opportunity to head downtown.
