Portrait Commission
I took several high res pics of this drawing, but for some reason, each one of them is coming out pixelated.

My Book
Since writing and publishing my first novel, If Only For One Night, there have been seven accusations that the book is about someone from my past. Last night was number seven ... and she was nasty, rude, and very disrespectful. This book is PURELY a work of fiction and is in no way about my memories of someone, or even a group of women.
As a writer of fiction, I do pull from experiences from my past. In the book, there is an instance where one of the main characters, Jeff, goes kayaking with a woman. The first time I went kayaking was while I was in Alaska at Fort Wainwright in either 1999 or 2000. Since then, I have been over a dozen times.
In the book on another occasion, Jeff goes to Iraq and shoots a woman. While I did go to Iraq, I did not go with the Army, and I most certainly did not kill someone. Yes, I saw a woman shot and killed, and from that, I was able to write it in the book.
I have faced heartbreak on multiple occasions, and again ... I was able to pull from that memory and describe the emotional torment the main characters were facing. Whether it was a suicide, or a rape, or an abortion ... though they are fictional in the book, I have been with someone, or have experienced those memories in my life.
This book was originally written sometime between 1999 and 2004. It went through multiple revisions. MULTIPLE ...
Around 2004 sometime, I was going to church and believed the book was not a good indication that I was a Christian, and after consulting Latame (the coauthor) I felt it was best if we not publish it. As my faith came crashing down around 2010-2011 timeframe, I consulted Latame about editing it and maybe publishing it.
We played around with it, but weren't dedicated until 2014 if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure the accusations will continue over the next year or even the next decade. However, as stated before, this book is fictional, and if someone believes I am writing about someone, or even about them, every attempt to change details about our memory or memories has been changed, and I wish you well.
