Dairy Queen - Work In Progress
Working on the background trees. Usually trees in the far background are lighter in value, but I didn't feel comfortable trying to make them look pushed way back. The morning I was out there on the mountain, with the exception of fog, it was bright and beautiful and you could make out individual trees.

Dairy Queen - Work In Progress
Work in progress pic of a painting completed last year. High up on the hills out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere...cows, and a ton of pies. It was a glorious morning.

Untitled Shed study
This is a small study for a much larger painting I'm planning on doing later on this year. I've already started it, but with the amount of commissions, art shows and festivals, personal work like this will have to take a backseat for the time being. I'm in love with old sheds and barns out in the middle of nowhere, just off the side of the road...out in the woods...wherever the road leads. Whether it's an old tobacco barn, an old work shed, or something lost to time, there's something about them that I can't get enough of.
This specific one is slightly different than the others. The shed, hill, and tree, are in three different locations, but in the same area. This is the first time I'll be taking multiple pleinair paintings to make a completely new image.

VP Harris WIP
This is the part of a painting that I hate. Even though it rarely happens when I paint/draw someone, there are times where something is off. Once I finish the hair, either it will come together, or it won't. I'd hate to start this over, but I fear I may have to.
