This is one of those rare moments that every single live wedding painter dreams of...where out of the blue, the bride happens to see the painting as it's unfolding. Lauren gave me that look just at the right moment.

Timelapse of The Waldrops
Trying something new. I shoot timelapse videos of almost all of my wedding live wedding paintings. While I prefer Instagram, Tiktok (an app I have consistently, and still do, criticized) unfortunately makes it easier to share across multiple platforms. So...here's my Tiktok video of The Waldrops first dance at the historic John Marshall Ballroom.

Scenes from some of the events
I just want to say that I love what I do. I absolutely love it. As a live wedding and now live event painter, I literally get paid to travel, paint moments that people treasure, and most importantly, make a living at it. While some venues are much nicer than others, all of them offer the ability to visit places I never thought possible. Whether I'm in Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, or even out in California, these are just a few of the images I've been to, paint, sightsee and spend a few hours or days.

Live Engagement Painting
Yeah, this is a rarity. I think I've only done this type of painting two other times. This was in the Outer Banks. There was a couple who were having a nice afternoon lunch, champagne, you name it. She kept looking over at me like I was a weirdo. At some point, he got down on one knee and proposed. Little did she know, he set the whole thing up.
