Sunset from St. John's Episcopal Church

 St. John's Episcopal Church is one of those places in Richmond that everyone in America has heard about but maybe has no clue where it is. "Give me liberty, or give me death!" is what Patrick Henry shouted in March of 1775 at St. John's Episcopal Church. That's what it's famous for, and it's massive ass graveyard, containing some 3,000 souls. Anyway, when I used to live just down the road from St. John's, I'd often catch a sunset and the sky would have this 'Maxfield Parrish' feel to it. This, is one of those sunsets. 

The painting is 16x20, oil, framed and on display at Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, VA.

This was done for an art display at the Cultural Arts Center in Glen Allen back in August 2022 along with about 20 other paintings. This one was not for sale. It carries some of my warmest memories. This one is special to me.

Here We Go Again...

 It's been awhile since I've been on here. Because I was porting everything over to my website www.johnpricefineart.com, I felt it was best to just close this up, archive everything, and keep everything in one centralized location. Two problems with that, the website wasn't very 'blog friendly' and I honestly lost a desire to do a blog. It became more about selling my art as opposed to logging my progress as an artist, the struggles, the thoughts, etc., etc.

So here I am...just over a year after leaving, to blog once more.
