This is my mom's Christmas present. My family & I won't be able to make it to see her until this week, and unfortunately, we missed Christmas with her. This was her first Christmas in 35 years without my father. He passed this year on June 19, Father's Day. This was one of their final photographs together. His heart was giving him a heck of a time, and he finally succumbed to congestive heart failure.
The photo I was working from was a black & white image, and I decided to put hints of pastel in it to give it a slightly colorized look.
